The Grant Napear Show – September 11, 2012

On the 11-year anniversary of 9/11, Grant started the show by taking a moment to pay tribute to all those who lost their lives.

Grant then covered the performances of various teams during week one of the NFL season, with particular emphasis on the play of the Oakland Raiders on Monday night.

Paul Gutierrez of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area joined Grant to continue the discussion about the Raiders.

Gutierrez talked about the Raiders Monday night game, the absence of their long-snapper, the play of Darren McFadden, the weapons (or lack thereof) that Carson Palmer had to throw to and the serviceable play of their defense.

Charles Davis of FOX will be calling the USC/Stanford game this Saturday, so he came on the show with Grant to cover football.

Davis talked about the San Francisco 49ers’ victory over the Green Bay Packers, the Raiders’ loss to the San Diego Chargers, week two NFL matchups and the tiff between Jim Harbaugh and Jim Schwartz as they prepare to face each other this Sunday.

Raiders’ radio host Mike Lamb was on the show with Grant today.

Lamb talked about what he saw from the Raiders on Monday night, his former days working with Grant and what it was like riding around with Jason Ross after the Monday night game.
