Delta College Student Attacked In Bathroom; Gold Chain Stolen

STOCKTON (CBS13) - A male student at Delta College was attacked in a men's bathroom Wednesday morning and had his gold chain ripped off his neck, according to campus police.

The incident happened at about 9:15 a.m. when the the student was followed into a restroom on the first floor at Cunningham Hall by two men.

One of the men reportedly turned the lights off in the bathroom and the other approached the victim, punched him in the face and grabbed the gold chain.

The suspects were described as black men in the 20s. One was described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 180 pounds, with short black hair and possibly a goatee. He was wearing a long-sleeved white shirt with a large picture on the front, baggy blue jeans and a black backpack worn cross-body.

The second suspect was describes as 5-7, 145-150 pounds, with short black hair and also possibly a possible goatee. He was wearing a maroon "puffy" jacket and dark pants.

Stockton has had more than 200 reported gold chain robberies since March 1, including a theft on Monday in which the victim was shot to death in broad daylight at Victory Park.
