Today on the Grant Napear Show, there was lots of talk about week four of the NFL, as well as the MLB postseason. Grant gave his take on the upcoming week in the NFL, as well as how he thinks the MLB postseason will shape up. Callers came on the show to discuss their upset picks for week four in the NFL, as well as how they think the San Francisco Giants' rotation should go in the playoffs. Grant interviewed Greg Amsinger, Brian Baldinger, Daryl Johnston and Don Banks.
Greg Amsinger from MLB Network joined Grant to talk about the upcoming MLB postseason. First, Greg talked about the San Francisco Giants and their pitching rotation heading into the playoffs. Greg and Grant also discussed MLB postseason awards, and Greg gave his take on who will win the MVP and Cy Young awards in each league. Greg also talked about how surprising the Orioles and Athletics have been this season. Finally, Greg gave his thoughts on Manager of the Year.
Brian Baldinger from NFL Network and Fox Sports joined Grant today to talk about the NFL heading into week four. Brian talked about the 49ers and their matchup against the New York Jets. He also discussed the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Giants' injury issues, the New Orleans Saints and their game against the Green Bay Packers. Brian also talked about the Raiders' upcoming game against the Steelers and the Houston Texans.
Daryl Johnston from Fox Sports was on with Grant today to discuss week four of the NFL. Daryl talked about the 49ers and why their loss to Minnesota won't derail their season. He also talked about Darrelle Revis being out for the Jets, Randy Moss's role in the 49ers' offense, and the resurgence of the NFC West.
Don Banks from SI.com was on with Grant today to talk about the NFL season thus far. Don talked about the early season surprises and how the Cardinals' defense has stepped up, and a possible quarterback controversy in Philadelphia. He also discussed the 49ers bouncing back against the Jets, and Peyton Manning bouncing back against the Raiders. Finally, Don talked about Carson Palmer, Green Bay's loss in Seattle, the Cowboys game against the Bears, and Russell Wilson's performance through 3 weeks.
Tim Brando from CBS Sports joined Grant to talk about college football coming up this weekend. Tim talked about Stanford and how they'll continue forward following a loss to Washington. He also talked about USC and how the Big 10 is struggling more than they ever have.
