STOCKTON (CBS13) – A building once used a women’s shelter was destroyed by fire early Thursday morning.
Flames broke out in a building on east Sonora Street overnight.
The building was once used as a women’s shelter but was being used as storage during a renovation project at the new facility.
Firefighters say there was so much inside it made it difficult to fight flames.
Investigators say no one was inside at the time.
The cause is under investigation.
