SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The Sacramento Police Department is searching for a man who reportedly entered a woman’s home and sexually assaulted her earlier this month.

A 36-year-old woman was asleep in her Greenhaven home on Oct. 12 at about 1:20 a.m. when she awoke to a stranger groping her. The woman screamed and the man ran out of the residence, police said. Officers were later able to identify the suspect as 20-year-old Johnta Lexus Waters.

Waters has an arrest warrant for attempted rape and burglary. He has ties to south Sacramento.

The Sacramento Police Department is seeking the community’s help in locating Waters. He’s described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 145 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair with dreadlocks.
