Bicyclist Dies In Accident On Watt Avenue
NORTH HIGHLANDS (CBS13) – A man died early Tuesday morning after falling off a bicycle and being hit by a car, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened on Watt Avenue and Plymouth Drive.
CHP officers believe the man was riding his bike southbound on Watt Avenue when he hit the median and fell into the street.
A driver coming northbound didn't see the man until it was too late, hitting him with her car.
The man died at the scene.
Officers say alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor.
