Modesto Police Release Surveillance Footage With Persons Of Interest In Triple Homicide

MODESTO (CBS13) - A pregnant 18-year-old was the sole survivor of a triple murder in a Modesto home.

Surveillance footage from another crime scene in an apartment in Ceres shows a woman who was held hostage for days and tortured. She escaped, then a few weeks later, the triple murder happened.

That same woman who escaped is the pregnant woman who is the sole survivor of the triple murder.

She was held hostage and tortured, and cops think there could be a connection to the crimes. That's why they're releasing pictures of who they're calling persons of interest in the unsolved murder case.

"I never would have thought he would have died," said the woman.

The girl's 16-year-old brother is just one of the three killed when gunmen broke in during the middle of the night. The pregnant teen hid in a closet and survived.

Cops arrested the teen's boyfriend after the hostage nightmare. He was rearrested after the triple murder, but only on new charges connected to that crime.

Now, eight months later, there is a new lead. New pictures show men hanging out in front of that apartment. The photos are a little grainy, but detectives and family hope they are clear enough to spark a big break in the case of a woman living through two unfathomable crimes and losing her younger brother in the process.

"If you have any information, just please come forward and share what you know, and please say a special prayer not only for my family, but the people that did this," said a family member of the victim who didn't want to be identified.

Earlier this year, police arrested two men in addition to the pregnant woman's boyfriend.
