HERALD (CBS13) – Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a homicide in Herald that occurred around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

A 50-year-old man was found shot to death in the 13000 block of Purvis Road. He was visiting this nephew and sister that live in the home, said Sgt. Jason Ramos, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.

The man reportedly was on a dirt bike ride earlier in the day.

Around 4:30 p.m., the victim’s nephew reported hearing gunshots, and then seeing the man dead on the driveway with the bike next to him.

At this time, deputies do not have any descriptions of possible suspects, but do not believe this is gang-related.

The victim’s identity has not been released.
