SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A man was shot to death in a Sacramento apartment parking lot late Thursday night.
Sacramento police responded to a report of shots fired at about 11 p.m. in the 2700 block of Meadowview Road. Witnesses in the area reported seeing a person on the ground after hearing the gunfire.
Officers arrived and found a male black adult in his early 20s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was unresponsive and laying in the area of an apartment parking lot. Sacramento Fire Department personnel arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to take over the investigation. Preliminary information gathered by responding officers revealed there may have been an argument at the time of the shooting.
