FOOTHILL FARMS (CBS13) – Loud noises brought many out to their doorsteps in Foothill Farms Christmas morning, but it wasn’t Santa and his reindeer landing on the roof, rather large machinery.
Utility crews were using the machinery to repair a 30-year-old water pipe that cracked during the night on Palm Avenue leaving some residents without water on the holiday.
“This is quite a Christmas present,” said resident Michael Davis. “This isn’t what I expected on Christmas morning.”
The broken water pipe was a definite inconvenience.
“I need to go to my family’s house to take a shower,” explained resident Armando Rodriquez.
However, it didn’t dampen anyone’s holiday spirit.
”Christmas is a very special time and sometimes special situations make it more special,” Mike Sullivan saida of the situation.
Crews spent most of Christmas morning making the repairs.
