STOCKTON (CBS13) – Residents at a Stockton apartment complex had a rude awakening Tuesday after a van hit a natural gas line, forcing them from their apartments.
The incident happened at 6:46 a.m. in the 6200 block of North Pershing Avenue. Police say the driver ran away from his vehicle that had no license plate.
PG&E crews capped the broken line at 12:30 p.m.
Eighteen apartments were evacuated. No injuries were reported.
