SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Two dogs are safe after a fire engulfed a home in south Sacramento.
Firefighters received several 9-1-1 calls reporting a fire in the back of a home on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 13th Avenue overnight.
Fire officials say no one was inside the home at the time, but say two German Shepherds were in the backyard.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control and get the dogs out of harm’s way. The dogs were taken to a shelter while their owner was located.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
