Snow Survey Expected To Show Levels Almost 50% Below Average
EL DORADO COUNTY (CBS13) - This season's fourth state snow survey is scheduled for Thursday.
The California Department of Water Resources will conduct its manual survey off Highway 50 near Echo Summit later this morning.
Officials expect the measurements will confirm electronic readings that show snowpack water content is almost 50 percent below average.
The snowpack normally provides about one-third of California's water as it melts.
