Man Accused In 25-Year-Old Cold Case Slaying Appears In Court

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - The man accused of murdering another man 25 years ago finally faced a judge in a court. Sacramento police say Stanley Grow stabbed Manny Morales to death in 1988 and dumped his body in a Land Park gutter.

The judge would not allow us to show Grow's face during the hearing, which was very brief. Grow was appointed a public defender and is scheduled to be back in court on April 18.

According to court records, Grow has an extensive criminal history, including robbery and drug charges.

Grow was arrested as he was leaving his North Highlands apartment.
