Deputies Raid Alleged Cockfighting Operation In Stockton

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Deputies busted an alleged cockfighting operation in Stockton on Sunday.

At around 10 a.m., San Joaquin County Sheriff's deputies were called out to 1900 Clover Lane across from B Street in Stockton where alleged cockfighting activities were taking place.

When deputies arrived, between 30 to 50 people began to run away. Deputies say they found what appeared to be a cockfighting ring and 50 roosters -- some trained for fighting and other that were dead.

Authorities have not said how many people were arrested.
