WEST, Texas (CBS) – Rescue workers continue to dig though the debris after a Texas fertilizer plant exploded Wednesday evening, just north of Waco.

The explosion in the town of West killed between five and 15 people — at least — and left more than 160 others badly injured. The injury estimate is expected to grow.

West is a farming community about 20 miles north of Waco. The explosion shook the ground with the strength of a 2.1 magnitude earthquake and could be heard dozens of miles away. The blast damage many homes within a five-block radius.
