The Don Geronimo Show - April 22, 2013

The day begins with a recap of Friday night, in which the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings was caught hiding in a boat in a Watertown man's backyard. The guys talk about the coverage on TV verses the coverage on Twitter, which was much faster than all the news stations. The guys also talk about using the Boston PD scanners to get their information, even though the public was told not to, and we also hear the lousy reports by CNN, including that of one reporter who said the empty streets of Watertown "look like a bomb was dropped" there. There was a whole lot of cursing on TV over the weekend, including the Red Sox' David Ortiz' "F" bomb on the Fenway P.A., an, "S" bomb slip on NBC News, and a South Dakota news anchor who dropped both an "F" and "S" bomb on the air-on his first day!

We also get a Rob, Arnie, and Dawn update: they're still off the air in Sacramento, and Don gives us the top 5 things that both help and hinder your sleep, and we hear about a baby giraffe being born on Good Day Sacramento Saturday morning. and the guys get into a deep conversation about who would win in a battle between a hippopotamus and a great white shark. Don then reads a list of the 15 most bad ass land animals in the world. We then hear a few stories, including Al Michaels getting arrested for DUI, as did Reese Witherspoon's husband, and apparently Reese didn't handle herself too well either.

We also hear about a guy who's suing Chicago Bull Derrick Rose for causing him "emotional distress," and after a visit from "David Stern," Don calls KFYR in North Dakota to see if he can talk to A.J. Clemente (who the guys found out was fired later in the day). We then hear the Rock n' Roll Hall Of Fame acceptance speech from Rush's Alex Lifeson, and that Dennis Hof's girlfriend Krissy Summers has new boobs, before it's time for the "Phantom News." Today, a Boston Marathon runner sells his participation model to help the bombing victims, an archive of Beach Boys memorabilia was discovered in an abandoned storage unit, box office numbers, and Black Sabbath premiered their new song last night in New Zealand. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
