Truck Hits Pole And Knocks Out Power To Several Homes
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A crash and power outage overnight affected several homes.
Officials say that before 11 p.m. Sunday, a pick-up truck crashed into a power pole on Gerber Road near French Road.
The pole fell onto a power line. SMUD crews worked overnight to secure the pole, and are expected to be there most of the morning.
At around 6:30 a.m., there were still four homes without power. Officials say the truck's driver is is accused of drinking and driving.
Once the pole is replaced, CHP will have the truck towed away.
