Supervisor Defends Taking Taxpayer Money To Clear Own Brush

EL DORADO COUNTY (CBS13) — An El Dorado County supervisor says he doesn't see any conflict of interest in collecting taxpayer money to take care of his own land.

Supervisor Ray Nutting accepted $70,000 in state money to clear trees and brush on his rural property. The district attorney is investigating the case.

Today, Nutting released more than 100 pages of documents and defended his actions.

He's requesting a ruling from the Fair Political Practices Commission.
