Early Morning Fire Burns Sacramento Mobile Home

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Firefighters battled an early morning blaze that burned down a Sacramento mobile home Tuesday.

The home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived in the 3400 block of Fulton Avenue.

One woman living inside the home recounted the terror she faced as she awoke to smoke and having to run for her life.

"I was lying down, I smelled smoke and everything, and I grabbed my bag and the house is on fire. The house caught on fire in five minutes. I tried to grab everything that I own, everything I could. I couldn't even grab my puppy," the woman said.

Her puppy is a chihuahua, which is still missing she says.

Her father, who lives with her, had to be treated by paramedics and firefighters at the scene.

Fortunately, fire crews were able to contain the fire to just the one mobile home.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
