WOODLAND (CBS13) - Police say vandals left gang graffiti at church in Woodland, some of which threatened to kill law enforcement.

Officers were called out to Holy Rosary Community Center at 575 California Street at 5 a.m. after someone discovered gang graffiti in several areas on church grounds. One of the messages reportedly threatened to kill law enforcement.

Although the graffiti didn't leave permanent damage, it's still being investigated seriously.

Police have not identified any suspects. Anyone with information regarding the graffiti is asked to call the Woodland Police Department at (530) 666-2411. Callers can remain anonymous.

Editor's note: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated the graffiti had been spray-painted.
