Stockton Market Murder Suspect Found In Mexico
STOCKTON (CBS13) — A suspect in the senseless murder of a Stockton store clerk was found in Mexico and brought back to northern California to face justice.
Stockton Police say Richard Alcaraz was hiding out with family in Cabo San Lucas. U.S. Marshals, working with Mexican police, arrested the 22-year-old.
It was last November when cops say Alcaraz and another man stole two cases of beer from Paisano's Market. Half an hour later, they came back and, investigators say, Alcaraz opened fire and killed the clerk for no apparent reason.
That clerk was a husband and father of four -- one of which was a newborn.
The victim's uncle says he owned the market just four months and was saving money to bring his wife and children up to Stockton.
