Woman's Body Found In Meadowview Park
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police are investigating a possible murder in a south Sacramento park after a body was found.
Just before 8 a.m. Saturday, a woman's body was found in Meadowview Park in the 7700 block of 24th Street.
The park was closed to the public while officers gathered evidence, and investigators say what witnesses may have heard could be key to the investigation.
"We have spoken to some witnesses who heard some gunshots in the early morning hours and detectives are following up with those leads," said Sacramento police Officer Doug Morse.
Police have not released the victim's name or the cause of death.
