River Cats Postpone Game Half Hour To Avoid Heat

WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - The Sacramento River Cats are hoping to help fans beat the heat by moving back Wednesday's game.

Officials announced the game will begin a half-hour later at 7:05 p.m.

There are plenty of Fourth of July festivities ahead of the game, including a presentation of a large American flag on the field.

A later first pitch will also ensure the skies are dark enough for the post-game fireworks.

Gates will still open at 5 p.m.
