Turlock Couple Arrested For Series Of Coin-Operated Machine Thefts

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) - A Turlock couple has been arrested in connection to a series of thefts from coin-operated machines.

Roseville police say Cynthia Patrias and Robert Miller, both 49, are responsible for thefts from coin-operated machines at a laundromat on Folsom Road and coin-operated car washes on Eureka Road, Taylor Road and Pleasant Grove Boulevard between June 14 and 21. They allegedly drilled out the locks of the coin boxes in the early morning hours.

Detectives identified a group linked to the thefts in Roseville and at least 14 other similar thefts between February and June in the counties of Placer, Sacramento, El Dorado, Yuba and San Joaquin.

Patrias and Miller were arrested on suspicion of grand theft, conspiracy and other related charges.

Including repair costs, the victims' total loss is more than $21,000.
