5 People, 2 Dogs Escape Vacaville House Fire
VACAVILLE (CBS13) - A family was able to escape their burning home in Vacaville early Thursday morning.
The two-alarm fire started before 3 a.m. on Millbrook Court when trees next to the house caught fire, fire officials say. The flames moved from the trees to a pickup truck and several other things outside before spreading to the house.
Neighbors saw the flames and alerted the family.
"I heard some crackling, and I looked out the window and was like 'oh my god, their house is on fire,' " said neighbor Craig May.
Five people and two dogs got out safely.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
