Firefighters Rescue Deer From Drowning In Rancho Cordova
RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) - Sacramento Metro firefighters rescued a deer struggling in the water at the Folsom South Canal Sunday night.
Fire crews say the deer was only minutes from slipping beneath the surface. That's when Metro Fire personnel launched their boat and put together some ropes to secure the deer.
While the deer was exhausted, she was able to stand on her own. She is expected to make a full recovery and will be returned back into the wild.
