2 Found Dead In Burned Calaveras County Home

MOUNTAIN RANCH (CBS13) - Deputies in Calaveras County are investigating a house fire in Mountain Ranch after two people were found dead in the charred remains.

Deputies arrived at  the home in the 8000 block of Mountain Meadows Drive at around 1 a.m. Wednesday to find it already engulfed in flames. They learned that two adults were trapped inside.

Detectives from the sheriff's office and Cal Fire arson investigators later found the two adults inside the home.

Officials are still investigating the incident and cause of the fire.
