Auburn Police: Carnival Worker Assaulted Co-Worker With Broken Beer Bottle

AUBURN (CBS13) - A carnival worker has been arrested for assaulting a fellow employee at the Gold Country Fairgrounds.

An argument between two carnival workers erupted into a fight at around 4 a.m. Tuesday, say police. Gregorio Hernandez-Melgarejo, 28, allegedly broke a beer bottle and assaulted his 26-year-old co-worker.

The victim suffered moderate injuries.

Hernandez-Melgarejo was subsequently arrested by Auburn police for assault and booked into Placer County Jail. His bail is set at $25,000.
