Firefighters Called In To Help Retrieve Newborn Kittens Trapped Underground
CARMICHAEL (CBS13) - A sneaky feline was able to find her newborn kittens after firefighters spent the afternoon searching underground for them in Carmichael.
Sac Metro fire crews dug through a fox hole and underground tunnels searching for them, even using a video camera.
The cat's owner says she escaped last night with her newborns.
"My cat had kittens in a tree stump," owner Brandy Weeks said. "(Firefighters have) just been digging away trying to get into a stump."
After fire crews left, Weeks says her cat returned home, and one by one retrieved her newborn kittens from underground.
