Woman Takes Dip In Rancho Cordova Pool With Her SUV

RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) — Summer may be almost over, but one woman decided to take a last dip—in her SUV.

"We were sound asleep around 1 o'clock, and we heard a big boom and then a big crash."

Linda Clemente says that loud noise was a woman crashing her SUV through a wall and landing in her Rancho Cordova home's pool.

"The cement wall flew against the house, busted the window and ruined the whole back patio area."

She says it's the second time in the past couple of years a wayward driver crashed into a wall on Faber Way.

She's now thinking about asking the city to put up a guard rail so it won't happen again.

"Nobody was hurt, it wasn't a bomb, nobody robbed us. It's kinda funny now. We're just grateful the car didn't end up in our house.

A family member who is an EMT was able to stay with the driver until emergency crews arrived. The woman was not injured.
