Foul Play Suspected In Del Paso Heights Apartment Fire Overnight
Investigators are calling a Del Paso Heights apartment fire a crime scene.
The fire started at an apartment complex on Traction Avenue and Bowles Street around 2 a.m. Friday.
Fire officials say they found one person inside, a man, who was lying unconscious on the floor. He was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
"He was in one bedroom that had some fire damage. But where he was found, it wasn't as much fire damage where he was found on the floor," said Battalion Chief Richard Payan, with the Sacramento Fire Dept.
Officials say the apartment was destroyed. The adjoining apartment suffered smoke damage.
