Gov. Brown Joins Firefighters To Honor Fallen

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Gov. Jerry Brown joined hundreds of uniformed firefighters statewide to pay tribute to fallen firefighters.

The California Firefighters Memorial Ceremony at Capitol Park honored the memory of 22 firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty.

The governor spoke out about the teamwork and collaboration it takes to be a firefighter.

"When I look at the memorial, it's not one, it's men working together, holding those hoses and doing what they have to do," he said.

The names of the fallen firefighters will be added to the memorial wall, where more than 1,200 names are engraved.
