Fire In Foresthill Left Thousands Without Power

FORESTHILL (CBS13) - Thousands of Placer County residents were left without power after a fire on Monday.

According to PG&E, as many as 2606 customers experienced some loss of electricity in Foresthill at around 3 a.m., because of the blaze in the area of Garden Road. The fire grew to about five acres before it was contained by firefighters, according to Cal Fire spokesperson Daniel Berlant.

No residents were evacuated.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Power was restored to the area by 9:12 a.m., the company said on Twitter.
