ROCHESTER, NEW YORK (CBS13) — The Sacramento Republic scored its first win outside of the state of California as the team snapped the Rochester Rhinos seven-game unbeaten streak on Friday.
Thomas Stewart struck home the lone goal in 74th minute to give the Republic (5-3-1, 16 points) a 1-0 win, and the team’s third in a row. The win pushes the first-year team into fourth place in the 14-team league.

Next up for the Republic is another road match against the Dayton Dutch Lions (2-4-2, 8 points) in Ohio on Sunday.
