Crews Battle 2-Alarm Fire At East Elk Grove Home
ELK GROVE (CBS13) – Crews battled a two-alarm fire at an east Elk Grove home early Friday afternoon.
The fire was first reported just before 12:30 p.m. Once Cosumnes Fire Department crews arrived at the home on the 9800 block of Kapalua Lane, they found that the attic was quickly being engulfed in flames.
The home has been cleared and no one is believed to be inside.
A firefighter sustained a minor injury during the battle, a fire department spokesman said.
Investigators believe the fire was caused accidentally by some sort of electrical problem. About $250,000 worth of damage was caused.
