Mourners Gather At UOP To Remember Students Killed At Pakistani School

STOCKTON (CBS13) - Dozens of people gathered in Stockton on Thursday to grieve the mass murder of Pakistani school children during a terrorist attack.

The vigil was held on the University of the Pacific Campus. Several people say they have family in Peshawar or relatives who attend the military school.

On Tuesday, 148 students and teachers were killed when Taliban terrorists attacked the school.

"This time last year I was in Peshawar for my cousin's wedding. My younger cousin actually went to that school, the military-run school. It's not fair that someone went to school and couldn't get their education, live their lives, and better the world," said Sanam Chaudhry, a student.

The hour-long vigil was to show unity after the terrorist attacks.
