Inmate Booked For Murder Of 68-Year-Old Inmate At Sacramento County Jail

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — An inmate has been arrested in the death of a 68-year-old inmate at the Sacramento County Jail.

Khot Panyanouvong, 35, was booked on for the murder of an unnamed inmate. The victim's identity will be released, pending notification of the next of kin.

Panyanouvong was housed in the same area as the victim. He was originally booked on Thursday, the same day as the alleged killing, on a parole violation and a resisting arrest charge.

The victim had been booked into the jail on Jan. 8
