Placer County Sheriff Warns Of Jury Duty Scam
PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) — Placer County Sheriff's Deputies are warning people to be on the look out for scammers.
They say someone is calling people claiming to be Deputy Strong with the sheriff's office. The scammer tells people they missed jury duty and need to pay a fine or face arrest.
Deputies say simply do not give out credit card or bank account numbers to anyone claiming to be with law enforcement or jury services.
