5 People Injured After Party On Sunday Night

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Four people were shot and one other person was badly beaten after super bowl party gone bad, say police.

The fight broke out on Cathcart Avenue just off Gillespie Street in Sacramento at around 11:30 p.m. When police arrived, they found three people in the street suffering from gunshot wounds. Another person was found in or near a car. A fifth person had been beaten.

Witnesses said one of the suspects in the shooting fled to a nearby home. Police set up a perimeter in the area, searched the home, but did not locate the suspect.

Officers detained several people in connection with the shooting.

One of the victims was listed in critical condition. All of the victims are expected to survive.
