SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Authorities are asking for help in finding a 4-year-old boy who was reportedly abducted by his father.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, the father – 29-year-old Adrian Brown, Sr. – has no custody or visitation rights to the child. Deputies say Brown took the child, Adrian Jr., from a family member's home along the 7000 block of Dolphinfish Way Tuesday evening.

Brown Sr. was seen leaving the area in a blue, two-door 2005 Dodge Stratus with paper plates.

Deputies say Brown Sr. made statements he would be leaving the state with the child. He has not been heard from since Tuesday.

Anyone who has seen the suspect or the child, or knows where they might be, is asked to call the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department at (916) 874-5115.
