Arrest Made In 2013 Sacramento Murder Case

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Officers say they have made an arrest in a murder case dating back to 2013.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, 31-year-old Avery Draughty was arrested Saturday morning in Rancho Cordova. He was wanted in connection to the murder of 31-year-old Tiffany Silva.

Police say Silva was killed in a shooting on Nov. 28, 2013 along the 3700 block of Balsam Street.

Draughty is believed to have fled the scene of the shooting with his girlfriend before officers arrived. He has since been wanted as a person of interest in connection to the case.

Draughty is now being held at Sacramento County Jail. He is facing a charge of murder and is ineligible for bail.
