Body Of Young Girl Found Burned In Glenn County Field

GLENN COUNTY (CBS13) — The body of a young girl was found burned in Glenn County on Thursday.

Glenn County Sheriff's deputies said the body was found at around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday by the Artois Volunteer Fire Department when they were putting out a grass fire around County Road D and County Road 33.

An autopsy was conducted on Friday that revealed the body belonged to a young girl, between the ages of 5 and 10.

The sheriff's department says this doesn't appear to be related to any other burned body cases in Glenn County.
