Sacramento IT Business Owner Finds Education Never Stops

Out of the dozens of IT computer repair shops in Sacramento, IPCFix, according to customers, ranks amongst the best. The man behind the success of this flourishing business is Sacramento resident Hamid Shafiepour. With over 33 years of technical experience in the field and armed with a hardware computer engineering degree along with his management degree, Shafiepour manages and single-handedly ensures the success of his business. After all, Shafiepour is also the owner and the downtown Sacramento office isn't his only storefront as Shafiepour is expanding into nearby Roseville. 

What does your job entail?

"I am the owner of an I.T. company specializing in information technology services, including computers, networking and cellphone service center."

What parts of your job do you find enjoyable?

"Getting more experience about technology and getting updated about new technologies. I have more than 33 years experience in this field, but everyday I am learning more than yesterday. This is what makes me happy and fresh. Every day I am working with computers for more than 10 hours and yet I am not getting tired of it at all."

What was your education experience like prior to your employment?

"I have hardware computer engineering degree and also business management degree, too."

Do you think that your education has prepared you to take on this position?

"Yes, during last the 33 years I have had different IT positions all benefiting from my education."

Do you have any advice for people wanting to pursue a similar career?

"They have to be patient about their job and they have to learn anything related to their skills. Technology has no end. Everyday we have to learn more and get updated about new products and try to learn hard."
