Judge Orders Retrial In Fatal Fresno Bus Crash That Killed 6

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — A judge says jurors reached the wrong verdict in a trial deciding who was at fault for a deadly bus crash in Fresno that killed six people.

KFSN-TV reported Monday that Judge Donald Black ordered a new trial for families of three women killed in the accident.

The 2010 crash happened on Highway 99 when the Greyhound bus plowed into an overturned SUV carrying the women. The bus driver and two of his passengers also died.

The families of the three women sued Greyhound for negligence, contending the driver was speeding and wasn't wearing his eyeglasses.

Jurors earlier this year found that Greyhound wasn't at fault.

But the judge says that the evidence shows the Greyhound driver was speeding and not wearing his glasses.

A representative from Greyhound was not immediately available for comment Monday morning.
