Fairfield Teen Killed After Head-On Crash
FAIRFIELD (CBS13) – Police say a 16-year-old was killed after a head-on crash in Fairfield Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened on Waterman Boulevard, near Barbour Drive.
Witnesses told police that a car was speeding east on Waterman Boulevard when the driver lost control and hit a pickup truck heading in the opposite direction. Police say the driver of the eastbound car – the 16-year-old – was killed on impact.
The driver of the pickup, said to be a 44-year-old Fairfield resident, has been taken to the hospital due to complaints of pain but is expected to be OK.
Police have only identified the 16-year-old as a Fairfield resident.
