Central California Man Gets Life In Prison For Post-Super Bowl Rage

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- A Fresno man who went on a rampage and killed another man after the 2013 Super Bowl has been sentenced to life in prison.

The Fresno Bee reports 26-year-old David Quevedo was sentenced Wednesday without the possibility of parole.

In May, Quevedo was found guilty of first-degree murder in the February 2013 shooting death of 36-year-old Omar Silva.

Authorities say Quevedo, a San Francisco 49ers fan, went on a rampage after his team lost to the Baltimore Ravens in the Super Bowl.

Police say Quevedo went to Silva's home looking for Silva's brother, who he had gotten into an altercation with after the game.

Silva answered the door and Quevedo shot him several times in front of his teenage daughter.

Quevedo plans to appeal his conviction.
