SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Wave customers in the Sacramento and Rocklin areas are experiencing an Internet connection outage in what Wave is calling a deliberate act.

The company posted this message on its support page Tuesday saying the outage is due to a "coordinated attack":

"Three major fiber cables connecting the region have been physically severed in what appears to be a coordinated attack on multiple internet carriers beginning at 4:20am Tuesday morning. Crews from the major carriers are on the scene making repairs but no ETA is available at this time. Updates will be available on our Outages page."
