TOP 5 and BOTTOM 5 NFL TEAMS

We have concluded 3 weeks of the NFL season and every sports website out there does their version of the power rankings.  Well here are my top 5 and bottom 5 teams in the NFL after almost a quarter of the season.

Bottom 5

28.  Detroit Lions- they are still searching for their first win and it may not come this week on Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks

29.  Washington Redskins- Washington did nothing right in their Thursday night loss to New York. Kirk Cousins has proven to be an alright backup but has done nothing as a starter.

30.  Tennessee Titans- The Titans do have a win but gave one away last week to the struggling Colts. I think Marriotta will be fine long term but Titans fans just have to go through the roller coaster for now.

31.  New Orleans Saints- No longer dominant at home and no longer a feared offense.  The defense has struggled for a few seasons and without Brees in the lineup there isn't much hope for New Orleans.

32.  Chicago Bears- Do Bears fans want Cutler back? The alternative is Jimmy Claussen and that right there is the mess that Chicago is in.  No longer a great defense and now inept on offense puts them in dead last on the bottom 5.

Top 5

5.  Denver Broncos-  Though they haven't been dominant, they haven't lost either.  The Broncos are just finding a way.  The run game hasn't developed and Peyton has had flashes.  Good thing the defense is pretty darn good.

4.  Cincinnati Bengals- 3-0 for a team with great personnel all the way around.  The question mark has always been Andy Dalton.  He is off to a hot start and the more he finds A.J. Green the better off they will be.

3.  Arizona Cardinals- This team has been dominant so far.  The Cardinals are carving up the competition even if the opponents have been subpar.  They don't have to apologize for that at all and they are clearly enjoying Carson Palmer playing at this very high level.

2.  Green Bay Packers- Without Jordy Nelson and you can't even tell because Aaron Rodgers is playing that well.  His 5 TD performance on Monday night was a master's class in how to play the quarter back position.

  1. New England Patriots- Brady and the boys are on cruise control right now.  They have defended their championship the right way by going out and beat up on everyone in front of them.  You got to knock off the champs to be the champ, so they stay #1 for me this week.
