Los Angeles Man Sentenced For Role In Revenge Porn Site At Center Of CBS13 Investigation
LOS ANGELES (AP) - A Los Angeles man who hacked email accounts and stole nude photos of women that were posted on a porn site is going to federal prison.
City News Service says 26-year-old Charles Evens was sentenced to more than two years in prison on Monday.
Prosecutors say Evens was paid more than $200 a week to break into email accounts and steal nude and sexually explicit photos that were posted on the now-defunct site IsAnyoneUp.com.
Evens pleaded guilty in July to computer hacking and identity theft.
The website's operator, 29-year-old Hunter Moore of Woodland, pleaded guilty to the same charges and awaits sentencing.
CBS13 conducted an investigation into so-called revenge porn from the site in February 2013. At the time of the investigation, Moore lived at home with his parents.
Moore refused to answer the door, instead choosing to tweet "news crew in front of my house banging on my door. just called the cops" and "i should have answered the door naked."
He was charged in January 2014.
